W&WW: DATE NIGHT
One of my ultimate favorite occasions has to be date night (or day)! A moment to get away from all the everyday distractions and just focus on what’s important... him (or her!). However, how to dress for a date can be completely different for first dates, an experienced relationships, or married with kids!
• A first date is all about first impressions. You really want that “wow” factor, but it must look effortless. Like you just had a crazy busy day and had no time to get ready, but oops, just happen to look stunning - kind of effortless. You don’t want it to look like you took hours to get ready so your perfect everyday makeup is a good way to go. It will allow him to see the best version of yourself and not be distracted by all the glam. Trust me, I love a good false eyelash and glitter shadow just as much as the next girl, but maybe save all that for date two when you begin to see if he likes you for all the right reasons.
If it’s going to be a day date, your most flattering pair of jeans that accentuate the “ass”ets and a button up jean top to match tucked in will look effortlessly sexy and cool. Pair it with a fun belt and a comfortable pair of booties to elongate the body and you will look stylish but not like you’re trying too hard. Since it’s winter, add on a cool faux fur jacket and you’re good to go.
If it’s a dinner date then take some of my tips for how to dress for a wedding. Choose one body part you want to accentuate: your legs, arms, or waist. I wouldn’t choose to accentuate your breasts much on a first date, it will be distracting and all he will be able to think about is sex and we want a husband ladies, not a one night stand am I right? Save that for date three! Give him something to work for and I’m telling you men love a good mystery. Sometimes showing less can be way more sexy than what you expect sexy to look like. Sexy vs. trashy has a very fine line. Don’t cross that line! Try wearing an off the shoulder top so he can see just enough with a leather skirt and over the knee boots. Even a sleeveless turtleneck, trousers and heels would be a good choice. It makes you look classy, like wifey material and so worth the wait.
• When you have been dating for a few weeks or more and you know you got him on lock, all the first date rules can go out the window. This is now the honeymoon phase of a relationship and date night is now an excuse to play dress up. Bringing out the body hugging bondage dresses and showing some cleavage (never too much) are fair game. Add a great pair of platform heels and you’ll be having the entire restaurant turning heads, not just your man. Bring out the smokey eye and false lashes and have him begging for it by the end of dinner.
• Fast forward a few years, marriage and kids - I can imagine it can make date night a lot harder to come by. Life can get in the way and having the time to leave the kids and get a moment alone can come few and far between. But that makes date night that much more special once you get the opportunity to do it. Keeping the romance alive is important and dressing up will not only make you feel better but remind your man you still got it! A long neck plunging maxi dress will provide sex appeal and comfort at the same time. You can pair it with wedges, heels or even platform sneakers and still have a look that will impress your man and not have your feet killing you when you get home to run around with the kids.
Whether it’s a first date, new relationship or your hubby, date night(or day) is an occasion everyone gets excited to dress for. It’s an opportunity to bring out your favorite outfit and not only show off to your date but make yourself feel great! Feeling classy, sexy and comfortable are all possible on a date and doing it in style has never been so easy. ️

DAY DATE OPTIONS:
Unbutton first two buttons, roll up sleeves and tuck into jeans . Try to find jeans that are a similar shade to the jean top but it doesn’t have to be identical.

Quick tip! Lingerie inspired clothing is a hot trend right now but sometimes is see through. I use my bathing suit top inserts in my body suits to eliminate nip slips.
